Born right here in Launceston as a 6th-generation Tasmanian, my passion for showcasing our island home runs deep in my roots. I first stepped into the tourism industry back in February 1990, spending two decades meticulously planning travel itineraries for groups across Tasmania. In 2010, I took my love for the region directly to the road and transitioned into tour driving and guiding full-time. When you join me on tour, you are getting a complete insider’s perspective paired with genuine storytelling. From the geological origins of our island and the deep history of our Indigenous communities to native wildlife lifecycles, agriculture, and local culture, I offer a huge variety of discussion topics. We will never run out of things to talk about on tour (so unless you tell me to be quiet—I do talk all day!). Whether we are discussing native tree species on a quiet rainforest walk or exploring early Australian settlement history through historic sandstone villages, I love bringing Tasmania vividly to life. I am deeply passionate about taking guests off the beaten track to experience Tasmania’s tranquil wilderness and hidden gems. From the iconic landscapes of Cradle Mountain, the Bay of Fires, and Freycinet to secluded waterfalls and the rich food and wine regions of the Tamar and Meander Valleys, I love sharing the places that make this island extraordinary. While I personally lead the vast majority of our departures, on select occasions my handpicked team of trusted local sidekicks steps in to drive and guide.
