Mingoer Cancellation Policy
Last Updated On: 28 April 2026
We’re sorry to see that you need to cancel your booking. We are here to help. Here is everything you need to know about our cancellation policy which applies to all bookings for tours and experiences made through our Localmingo platform.
How to Submit a Cancellation Request
If your tour or experience is more than 7 days (168 hours) away, you can cancel your booking directly from your Inbox by opening the booking and clicking the “Cancel Booking” button.
Our payment provider will process your payment 7 days before your tour or experience starts (or immediately for last-minute bookings). Once the payment has been processed, any cancellation request must be submitted via email to our customer support team at support@localmingo.com, including the following information:
- Email Subject: “Request for booking cancellation by Mingoer”
- Your Full Name: The same name used for your booking
- Tour/Experience Details: Name of the tour/experience, including the date and time
- Supporting Documents: Relevant documents to support your request (only required for cancellations due to unforeseeable events)
For details on your eligibility for a refund, please refer to the following sections.
Cancellation with Refund Eligibility
If you cancel at least 7 days (168 hours) before the start time of your tour/experience, and before the payment is processed, no charge will be applied.
If you cancel within 7 days prior to your tour/experience, your eligibility for a refund will depend on the type of tour or experience you've booked, and the timing of your cancellation:
- Join-in + Single-day tour/experience (join-in tour/experience completed within the same calendar day):
- Full refund, minus a 5.5% cancellation fee, if cancelled at least 1 day (24 hours) prior to the start time.
- Private + Single-day tour/experience (private tour/experience completed within the same calendar day):
- Full refund, minus a 5.5% cancellation fee, if cancelled at least 5 days (120 hours) prior to the start time.
- Multi-day tour/experience (all tour/experiences lasting more than one calendar day):
- No refund is allowed for any cancellation made within 7 days (168 hours) prior to the start time.
The 5.5% cancellation fee covers payment processing charges incurred through third-party providers and our platform operation costs.
Non-Refundable Cancellation
Cancellations made within the following timeframes are non-refundable:
- Less than 1 day (24 hours) before the start time of a Join-in + Single-day tour/experience
- Less than 5 days (120 hours) before the start time of a Private + Single-day tour/experience
- Less than 7 days (168 hours) before the start time of a Multi-day tour/experience
This also applies to bookings made within these non-refundable cancellation periods.
For example: If you book a 3 hours private walking tour (i.e. a Private + Single-day tour) only 2 days before its start time, you will not be eligible for a refund if you cancel.
These terms ensure fairness to our Locallers, who may have turned down other bookings to keep this time reserved for you.
For cancellation due to unforeseeable events, please refer to the next section.
Cancellation Due to Unforeseeable Events
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel your booking due to unforeseeable events that show up after the booking - you may be eligible for a full or partial refund, even if your cancellation falls within the non-refundable cancellation period. To assess your request, we may require supporting documents to verify that the cancellation was due to unforeseeable events that prevented you from attending.
"Unforeseeable events" refers to impersonal circumstances that render the tour or experience in your booking unsafe or impossible to proceed with, such as: travel restrictions imposed by governments, epidemic disease unusual to an area, war, civil insurrection, strike, and natural disaster occurring at the place of the tour or experience.
For avoidance of doubt, the following examples do not constitute unforeseeable events:- poor weather, change of plans, oversleeping, illness or injury.
The determination of what constitutes unforeseeable events is at the discretion of Localmingo.
When Localler or Localmingo Cancels
In the rare event that your Localler (guide/ host/ provider of tour or experience) cancels a booking, you are entitled to a full refund (with no service fee charged).
Localmingo reserves the right to cancel a booking, in its sole discretion, if we believe in good faith that such cancellation is necessary to prevent or reduce damages to our users or to Localmingo, or if the Localler’s account is cancelled or suspended after a booking is made. Localmingo may also cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government restrictions, safety concerns, or other force majeure events. In such cases, Mingoers will be offered a full refund.
Rescheduling or Modifying a Booking
If you need to reschedule or modify your booking, the same cancellation policy and timeframe apply. Please contact us at support@localmingo.com with your request.
No Show and Late Arrival Arrangement
A no show or failure to arrive on time for your tour/experience is considered a cancellation, without a refund.
If you anticipate that you will be late, please contact your Localler as soon as possible. While your Localler may do our best to help, they cannot guarantee accommodation for late arrivals, out of fairness to other Mingoers (guests/ participants) and our Locallers.
Disputes and Enforcement
If you have any questions, please contact our customer support team at support@localmingo.com. We are here to help you explore with confidence - every step of the way.
