Depart from the Byron Visitor Centre in a comfortable van. Begin the journey into the hinterland with initial scenic lookouts and photos along the way.

Nightcap National Park Rainforest Walk
Embark on a guided rainforest walk through ancient Gondwana rainforest. Learn about local flora, fauna, and ecology, with time for a refreshing swim at a pristine waterfall (weather permitting).
Organic Plant-Based Dinner
Gather in the park for a relaxing, healthy organic vegan light dinner from Fundies Café paired with fresh juice.
Secret Glowworm Location

Additional Information

What to Bring: Comfortable covered walking shoes, warm layers (especially in winter), raincoat, swimwear & towel (if swimming), refillable water bottle, and long pants during the wet season.
Fitness Level: Moderate. Involves a gentle rainforest walk with some uneven or rocky paths. Suitable for most ages and fitness levels.
Restrictions: Not suitable for individuals with severe mobility impairments. Alcohol, food, and non-water drinks are not allowed inside the vehicle.
Driving time is around 1 hour and 15min each way with stops along the way in.
A minimum of 5 guests is required for a tour to proceed. If the minimum number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the experience in order to cover the minimum operational costs of running the activity.

Plan B

Moonlight Adjustment: Glowworm visibility can be affected when the moon is bright. On full moon or high-luminosity nights, the guide will adjust the viewing location to an alternative secluded site where visibility remains optimal. Weather & Environmental Flexibility: Itineraries may shift slightly without notice due to National Park closures, extreme weather, or safety conditions. Every variation guarantees visits to a pristine waterfall, an epic lookout, and a glowworm sanctuary. Cancellations & Minimum Numbers: A minimum of 5 guests is required for the experience to proceed. In the event of low numbers or extreme weather cancellations, guests will be offered a flexible reschedule or a full refund promptly.
