Hi​,​ I’m Cristiano! Originally from Brazil​,​ I fell in love with Byron Bay nearly 15 years ago and never left. With a background and degree in Tourism​,​ my connection to this region runs deep. Today​,​ I live nestled in the rainforest with my family​,​ raising my two daughters surrounded by the wild​,​ natural beauty of the land. For me​,​ hosting is all about walking the talk. Away from the busy streets​,​ fancy shops​,​ and party crowds​,​ the real Byron - the one born from the 1970s counterculture movement - is still thriving in the hinterland. I love taking guests beyond the surface into ancient rainforests​,​ hidden waterfalls​,​ and peaceful lookouts​,​ finishing with the gentle magic of wild glow-worms. My goal is to offer a mindful alternative to mass tourism: an experience that educates​,​ inspires​,​ and gives back to both people and planet. While I lead most of our tours myself​,​ sometimes you might also be led by my teammates​,​ such as Doug and Magnum - who share the exact same passion for this land and earn equally glowing reviews from our guests.
