Overview
Melbourne is famous for its magnificent gardens and sporting precinct. This tour explores both in a guided walk that also includes the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne's imposing memorial to World War 1. Catch a tram along Melbourne's grand boulevard, St Kilda Road to the Shrine of Remembrance, where you can immerse yourself in history and also catch a magnificent view of Melbourne. Then spend time at Melbourne Observatory before plunging deep inside the Royal Botanic Gardens to explore the lush vegetation and manicured lawns, and discover exquisite views over the Ornamental Lake. After a relaxing coffee, walk through Melbourne Park, site of the Australian Open tennis championship every January, passing by Rod Laver Arena and hopefully entering one of the outside courts for that classic photo. View the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the mighty colosseum that dominates Melbourne visually and culturally. Finish at Melbourne Cricket Ground
