In this one-on-one snorkelling session in Manly, we’ll take it slow and tailor everything to your comfort level. Whether it’s practising breathing techniques, floating, or learning how to use snorkelling gear for the first time, you’ll be in a calm and encouraging environment. This session is perfect for: - Non-swimmers who want to safely enjoy the ocean for the first time. - Beginners who feel nervous or hesitant about entering open water. - People who have experienced ocean-related trauma or fear of water. - Those who want to learn proper breathing techniques for snorkelling. - Anyone interested in guided, one-on-one attention in a safe environment. - Individuals or small groups seeking a private, exclusive experience. - Families with children or friends wanting to explore the marine sanctuary together. - Nature lovers who want to connect with marine life and learn about conservation. - People looking to build confidence in the water for future ocean activities. - Anyone curious about the underwater world but unsure how to start. This one-on-one session is about building your confidence, connecting with the ocean and leaving with a memory you’ll never forget. Need to add more people? You can add up to 2 additional confident swimmers to this booking. ⚠️ What is a confident swimmer? Someone capable of swimming 100m unassisted in open ocean conditions and remaining safely in the water for up to 40 minutes.

What's Not Included

Wetsuit: You can pick up a wetsuit from our surf shop partner for AUD $20 before the tour commences. (Please note, this price covers only the duration of the snorkelling tour).

Meeting Point

Shelly Beach Manly, New South Wales, 2095 The meet-up point is beside the ERB (Emergency Response Beacon) pole. The ERB is a yellow-and-red, solar-powered lifesaving beacon at Shelly Beach. Please arrive up to 15 minutes before the tour. The best way to get there if you're coming from Sydney City is by getting the ferry from Circular Quay (amazing views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge - prepare the camera for the ‘postcard’ photos 📸 ). Once you arrive at Manly Wharf, walk towards the beach through The Corso (an aisle full of life, the centre of Manly Beach). When you face the beach, go to your right side towards Shelly Beach - a beautiful coastal walk (around 20 min walking). It’s a stunning view! Allow 30 minutes for an enjoyable walk and photo clicks 😉

Additional Information

Bring towel, wetsuit, water bottle, sunscreen (avoid applying directly on your face within 1 hour before the tour), cash or card if you’d like to purchase underwater photos on the spot
Water temperature in the bay varies between 14–25°C.
For Make-Up Lovers: To ensure your mask gets a clear, watertight seal (and to protect your skin), please arrive with a clean, make-up-free face.
For Guests with Moustaches: Facial hair can cause your mask to leak. We highly recommend shaving before the session, or applying a thick layer of Vaseline over your moustache to help create a watertight seal.
All tours are weather-dependent. Ocean conditions at Shelly Beach/Cabbage Tree Bay can change quickly, and bookings may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety. We’ll contact you if this happens.
Our cut-off time is 15 minutes — once we’re heading to the water, late guests unfortunately won’t be able to join. Please be on time 🙂
Usually, we (instructors) and guests leave everything at the beach as it’s super safe, although we cannot be responsible for belongings.
