Yes, Bruny Island is my second home, which has its advantages when understanding the in-depth life and times of this beautiful place. Come with me, and I will share some inspiring stories and introduce you to our passionate locals. This is a 100% private, fully customizable day tour designed entirely around your unique interests and needs. Whether you want to embark on an invigorating bushwalk, visit a pristine natural landscape reserve to admire our unique native flora, or simply relax on a white-sand beach with a dozen freshly shucked oysters, the day is ours to shape. We can gather exceptional local produce as we go and find a secret, scenic picnic spot for morning tea, followed by a beautiful lunch at the island’s only family-owned winery. To ensure your day ends exactly how you dream it, the afternoon is full of incredible options. Because some of these exclusive experiences require advanced booking, your afternoon preference must be clearly confirmed with me before finalizing your booking. You can choose between: Option A: A journey to the spectacular Cape Bruny Lighthouse (towering cliffside tours available by appointment only). Option B: An enchanting walk through the private Hiba Gardens and its unique tessellated pavement, finishing with a decadent local chocolate shop tasting. Itinerary
Morning Pick-up & Scenic Drive to Kettering Ferry Terminal
I will collect your group directly from your Hobart accommodation in my spacious, air-conditioned premium van. As we drive south through the beautiful D'Entrecasteaux Channel, I'll share local history and community stories before we board the vehicle ferry to Bruny Island.
The Neck Lookout & Native Flora Reserve Walk
We’ll stop at "The Neck" - the iconic, narrow boardwalk isthmus connecting North and South Bruny Island. After taking in the breathtaking 360-degree coastal views, we can tailor the morning to your pace: taking a gentle bushwalk through a natural landscape reserve to spot rare native flora, or hunting for wild white wallabies.
Coastal Morning Tea & Artisanal Produce Gathering
This is where our sensory discovery begins. We will stop by incredible local producers to gather island delicacies - like award-winning cheeses or a dozen fresh shucked Pacific oysters. We'll then find a special, secluded beachside or wilderness picnic spot to relax and enjoy a premium morning tea.
Lunch at the Island’s Only Family Winery
We will head to Bruny Island Premium Wines, the southernmost vineyard in Australia and the island's only family-owned winery. Here, you'll enjoy a relaxed, premium lunch paired with exceptional cool-climate wines, surrounded by peaceful, rolling vineyard landscapes.
Your Chosen Afternoon Adventure (Must Confirm Before Booking)
Depending on the preference you confirmed with me prior to booking, we will set off on one of two exclusive afternoon experiences: - Option A: Drive out to the rugged edge of the island to tour the spectacular, historic Cape Bruny Lighthouse (indoor tower access by appointment only). - Option B: Enjoy a tranquil, private garden walk at the stunning Hiba property, view its fascinating tessellated pavement, and finish with a sweet visit to the artisanal chocolate shop.
Relaxing Return Ferry & Drop-off to Hobart
We'll board the afternoon ferry back to the mainland. Sit back, relax, and share a laugh as I safely drive you back to Hobart, dropping you right at your doorstep with lifelong memories and a true appreciation for our island home.

Tasmania's weather is part of its wild charm! This tour runs rain or shine. If rainy weather hits, I will smoothly pivot our outdoor beach stops and nature walks toward indoor artisanal masterclasses, cozy fireplace wine tastings, and covered estate experiences.
