We’ll follow the world-famous coastal route past windswept beaches, beautiful bays, and dramatic natural landmarks. Along the way, you’ll watch local surfers catch waves, spot wild koalas, kangaroos, and colourful parrots on a guided bushwalk, and enjoy breathtaking views over Apollo Bay. After a relaxing overnight stop, we hit the road again to explore the rugged Shipwreck Coast. You’ll stand in awe before iconic wonders like the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge before we head home. Meeting Point
We pick up from most Melbourne city locations. Simply let us know your hotel details at checkout, or message us closer to your tour date. Most of our pickups are early, the reason for this is to avoid the traffic and depart Melbourne nice and early. We aim to stay ahead of other tour busses, so that when we reach our lookouts they are not crowded. We aim to give you the best possible experience. Please wait on the walkway outside your pickup location. Please be ready 5 minutes prior to your pickup time. Bus might be slightly late due to traffic and unforeseen circumstances. Look out for a small 11-seater minibus.
Itinerary
DAY 1: Morning Departure & Torquay Surf Action
Day 1 Early Morning: We pick you up directly from your Melbourne hotel and head straight for Torquay. Enjoy a relaxing morning tea and watch local surfers ride the waves at the home of Australian surfing.
Sweet Treats & Scenic Lighthouses
Stop by the local Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery to stock up on delicious chocolates for the day. Drive through charming coastal villages on your way to the historic Split Point Lighthouse.
Historic Landmarks, Erskine Falls & Lorne
Learn the history of the road at the iconic Memorial Arch. Take the steps down to the base of the magnificent Erskine Falls. Head into the beautiful town of Lorne for lunch, a coastal stroll, and an optional quick dip in the ocean (if you don't mind the brisk water!).
Sheoak Falls & Wildlife Spotting
Enjoy another scenic walk to Sheoak Falls. Keep your eyes peeled for amazing native wildlife as we wind along the spectacular coastal cliffs.
Evening in Apollo Bay
Take in the breathtaking sunset views from Mariner’s Lookout over Apollo Bay. Settle into your home for the night - enjoy dinner at a lovely local pub or restaurant, or cook a meal in the large kitchen.
DAY 2 - Rainforest Walks & The Green Coast
Day 2 Early Morning: Start the day with a refreshing walk through the ancient, temperate rainforest. Travel along the scenic "Green Coast," stopping at beautiful lookouts on your way up to Lavers Hill, the highest point on the road.
Morning Tea at Lavers Hill
Take a break at the top of the ridge to enjoy morning tea and recharge for the afternoon ahead.
The Wonders of the Shipwreck Coast
Explore the ruggedly beautiful Shipwreck Coast, taking in all 9 dramatic lookouts. Stand in awe before Australia's most famous natural landmarks, including the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and London Bridge.
Journey Back to Melbourne
After an incredible two days of exploring, we head inland through the countryside, arriving back for your Melbourne CBD drop-off by evening.
