Itinerary
Ferry Building & Waterfront (99 Quay Street)
Begin by passing the Auckland Ferry Building, a landmark built in 1912 that marks the historic heart of the city’s maritime trade and ferry transport network.
Drive By: Tāmaki Drive
Follow Auckland’s scenic coastal roadway along the Waitematā Harbour, soaking in wide water views as we head toward the eastern bays.
Bastion Point
Pause at this beautifully landscaped clifftop reserve offering sweeping views across the Waitematā Harbour. Explore the memorial to Michael Joseph Savage while Louise shares the significant Māori history and land heritage tied to this location.
Mission Bay
Stop at one of Auckland’s most beloved urban beaches. Walk along the sand, admire the ancient pōhutukawa trees lining the shore, and snap photos across the water to Rangitoto Island.
Drive By: Auckland Domain & War Memorial Museum
Drive into Auckland’s oldest park, formed around an extinct volcanic crater, and pass the impressive Auckland War Memorial Museum building sitting atop the ridge.
Wintergardens at Auckland Domain
Explore the heritage glasshouses—including the Tropical House and Cool House—and walk into the serene Fernery nestled inside a former quarry beneath the formal gardens.
Mount Eden / Maungawhau
Take a short, accessible walk to the summit of Mount Eden, Auckland’s highest natural point. Marvel at the dramatic 50-meter-deep volcanic crater and take in 360-degree views over the cityscape and dual harbours.
Karangahape Road (K Road)
Drive along this famous ridge road - once an ancient Māori path, later a shopping strip, and now a vibrant district celebrated for its heritage architecture, street art, LGBTQ+ culture, and nightlife.
Drive By: Queen Street & Auckland Town Hall
Travel down the central spine of Auckland’s CBD to see how 19th-century colonial architecture mixes with modern skyscrapers. Pass the historic 1911 Edwardian Baroque Town Hall and clocktower at Aotea Square.
Sky Tower
Pause for photos beneath the Southern Hemisphere’s tallest freestanding structure (328 meters) and hear the story of its construction and place in Auckland's modern skyline.
End Point
Drop-off at your original meeting point or an agreed central Auckland location

If severe weather requires the tour to be canceled entirely or significantly modified prior to departure, and you choose not to proceed with the revised itinerary, you will receive a full refund.
