Your private tour will be led either by David personally - a 6th-generation Tasmanian with over 30 years of local tourism experience - or occasionally by one of his highly trusted, handpicked sidekick teammates. Additional Information
- Ideal Guests: Perfect for travelers eager to explore Tasmania's natural beauty at their own pace, active travellers looking to hike, and families with children (kid-friendly).
- Customization: Fully customizable! Speak with David or your guide to tailor the stops, skip places you've already visited, or focus on specific interests (photography, wine, food, walking).
- Activity Level: High activity level involved if completing the 30-minute uphill hike to Wineglass Bay Lookout or the steep descent to the beach.
- Seniors & Mobility Concerns: May not be suitable for guests with severe mobility issues or balance concerns due to steep, uneven tracks. However, low-impact scenic alternatives (Friendly Beaches, Cape Tourville boardwalks, Honeymoon Bay) are readily available.
- What to Bring & Wear: Comfortable, sturdy walking or hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing in layers, sunscreen, hat, and camera, packed lunch (or purchase during the morning stop in Campbell Town or at Freycinet Marine Farm).
Plan B
Freycinet’s coastal tracks can occasionally be exposed to wet weather or extreme heat. - Rain or Slippery Tracks: If rain makes the steep Wineglass Bay track slippery, your guide will substitute the steep descent with low-level coastal walks at Friendly Beaches, Honeymoon Bay, and sheltered boardwalks at Cape Tourville. - Customization on the Fly: Because this is a private tour, if group members feel tired or prefer a longer winery/seafood lunch instead of extra hiking, the schedule can be adjusted on the day.
