Overview

Step behind the scenes with Flavour Founders, a delicious day celebrating the people shaping Perth’s modern food story. From the bakers who helped spark the city’s sourdough movement, an Italian smallgoods company supporting WA farmers and a family grocer and delicatessen you won’t want to ever leave! Every visit gives you insider access to businesses that define local flavour. You’ll meet passionate roasters supporting small cafés across WA, then sit down to a beautiful shared lunch cooked by one of Perth’s most loved chef-owner’s at an East Fremantle neighbourhood bistro. It’s a day of discovery, warmth and connection Perth through the eyes and taste buds of its true flavour founders. This tour is specially curated and led by Anthony and Tracey - a chef and agricultural expert duo who bring a deep connection to the food industry, decades of culinary expertise, and a firsthand understanding of the land. The Food From hot, deep-baked loaves pulled straight from the oven to award-winning coffee poured beside a legendary cinnamon scroll, every stop celebrates flavour in its purest form. A long-table lunch in the heart of East Fremantle showcases big flavour, low-waste values and a deep love of local produce. Taste handcrafted smallgoods, explore a treasure trove of ingredients, and discover products that highlight the skill of local makers alongside exceptional producers from further afield. 🧑‍🍳 The People Passion, resilience and a fierce love of flavour bring Perth’s food culture alive. Meet the pioneers who helped shape the city’s food scene bakers who changed the way we eat bread, roasters who champion quality, and makers whose meats are often found stacked into loaded continental rolls right across Perth. You’ll also meet a long-standing artisan producer, still creating small-batch, truly original preserves and chutneys, offering a rare insight into the dedication behind food made by hand. 🏞️ The Place This isn’t about tourist stops, it’s real Perth. Flavour Founders invites you into spaces few get to see - wander through bustling kitchens and roasting rooms, breathe in the aroma of baking bread, and stand among hanging salumi in a family’s curing space. Lunch is enjoyed at bright and airy super laid-back venue with stunning Swan River views. This is a day that celebrates creativity, community and the enduring flavour of home.
