Hello, I'm Paul M.
For more than a decade, I’ve guided visitors through the ancient rainforests of the Atherton Tablelands. My background in marine engineering and quality management in naval shipbuilding laid the foundation for the precision, safety, and care I’ve brought to my rainforest tour business. As the main guide, I personally lead most of our small-group tours (capped at 11 guests), occasionally working alongside a tight-knit team of local experts. Together, we draw on over extensive years of experience exploring the World Heritage–listed Wet Tropics near Cairns. Our track record for finding wildlife in its natural habitat is second to none - whether we're spotting platypuses and tree-kangaroos by daylight or spotlighting rare nocturnal creatures after dark. My deep connection to these forests also inspired me to author a 250+ page e-book featuring over 160 stunning photographs and illustrations. It explores the rich Indigenous heritage, ancient geology, and incredible nocturnal wildlife of the region, sharing the stories there simply isn’t time to cover on a single outing. Why take a tour with me? 🔍 Unmatched Wildlife Success: With a success rate second to none, I know how to locate the Atherton Tablelands' most elusive wildlife, from daytime platypuses to active nocturnal creatures. 👥 Intimate Small Groups: Every trip is capped at just 11 guests, guaranteeing a relaxed, personalized experience where you can engage directly with your guide. 🌙 Day & Night Exploration: Venture into the world's oldest continuously surviving rainforest both under the sun and after sunset to uncover the hidden ecosystem that emerges after dark. 📚 Author-Led Knowledge: Learn from someone who literally wrote the book on the area, offering deep insights into the Wet Tropics' cultural heritage, ancient geology, and unique ecology.
