Hello, I'm Jenny M.
Welcome to my truffle farm in Red Hill! My connection to this land runs deep - our family property dates back five generations on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. In my grandparents’ day, these rolling hills were covered in cherry and apple orchards. But in 2003, I decided to take a leap of faith on a section of the land and plant truffles: a notoriously slow-growing and unpredictable crop. I planted my first trees in 2005, and after years of patience, care, and anticipation, I dug up my very first truffle in 2010. We are Mornington Peninsula’s original truffle-hunting farm - a true family-operated working property where we bring all the intrigue, drama, romance, and culinary magic of European truffles straight to an Australian setting. Taking visitors into the truffière is genuinely one of my absolute favourite parts of working on the farm. I love when people ask questions, get curious, and immerse themselves in the world of fungi. Whether you’re led by me, my partner Mike, our children or one of our passionate team members, you’ll also be working alongside our stars of the show - our specially trained English Springer Spaniels, like Maddie and Lizzie, who sniff out the ripe truffles hidden beneath the soil. So grab your gumboots, prepare to smell the rich earth, and get your hands dirty for a hands-on U-pick experience just an hour from the Melbourne CBD!
