Hello, I'm Matt - The Wildlife Whisperer.

G’day​,​ I’m Matt​,​ born in Sydney​,​ raised by the bush​,​ and probably the only bloke you’ll meet who once hitchhiked solo around Australia for 14 months and lived to tell the tale (with a grin). That wild ride taught me a thing or two​,​ mainly that Aussies are generous legends and that the best stories happen off the beaten track. These days​,​ I’ve swapped the dusty backpack for a comfy SUV and now I’m the one behind the wheel​,​ giving visitors like you a front-row seat to the real Australia. Not the tourist-trap version​,​ but the good stuff: patting koalas - not just staring at them from behind a fence​,​ secret lookouts​,​ gum trees older than your great-granddad​,​ and sitting down and having a chat with a group of friendly kangaroos. Before becoming a full-time guide​,​ I spent 35 years working in the creative industries. Photography has always been part of how I see the world​,​ so naturally it became part of the tours too. I love capturing those unexpected moments​,​ whether it’s a guest patting a koala for the first time or a quiet wildlife encounter that nobody saw coming. Guests receive professional-quality photos after the tour at no extra cost. I started my tour guide journey to pay back the kindness I recieved from total strangers during my travels. It��s my way of showing folks the Australia I know and love: raw​,​ rugged​,​ and ridiculously beautiful​,​ just a stone’s throw from the city. My mission? Simple.
