Drive By: Tāmaki Drive
Follow Auckland’s scenic coastal roadway along the Waitematā Harbour, taking in wide water vistas as we head toward the eastern bays.
Bastion Point
Pause at this beautifully landscaped clifftop reserve offering sweeping views across Waitematā Harbour. Explore the memorial to Michael Joseph Savage while Louise shares the significant Māori history and land heritage of the area.

Stop at one of Auckland’s most popular city beaches. Walk along the shore, admire the ancient pōhutukawa trees, and take photos across the harbour to Rangitoto Island.
Wintergardens at Auckland Domain
Explore the heritage glasshouses—including the Tropical House and Cool House - and walk into the serene Fernery tucked inside an old quarry beneath the formal gardens.

Take a short walk to the summit of Mount Eden, Auckland’s highest natural point. Marvel at the dramatic volcanic crater and enjoy 360-degree views stretching across the city's twin harbours and skyline.
Drive By: Karangahape Road, Queen Street & Auckland Town Hall
Drive through iconic city corridors, passing historic architecture, street art hubs, and the 1911 Edwardian Baroque Town Hall at Aotea Square.

Plan B
Auckland's coastal and volcanic weather can shift rapidly over a full-day tour. If severe rain or high winds make exposed summits (like Mount Eden or Mount Victoria) or coastal walks uncomfortable or unsafe, Louise will adjust the route to feature covered heritage sites, indoor museum precincts, sheltered lookouts, and extended time exploring the historic glasshouses and boutique village districts. If severe weather requires the tour to be canceled entirely prior to departure, and you choose not to proceed with a modified schedule, you will receive a full refund.
