After pickup, we travel north of Brisbane into the hills of Bellthorpe, rising nearly 600 meters above sea level. Our morning is spent exploring 450 private acres at Bellthorpe Stays - an exclusive property normally closed to day visitors. Here, we walk rainforest tracks along palm-lined creeks, discover secluded Heritage Waterfalls, spot rare birdlife and wildlife, and visit lily ponds teeming with frogs. After a relaxing tea break at the Resource Centre with the property owner, we journey to Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve for lunch overlooking the iconic Glass House Mountains, followed by an afternoon boardwalk stroll through ancient subtropical forest. Travel into the Bellthorpe hills (~600m above sea level) to Bellthorpe Stays. Enjoy an exclusive morning walk along the Rainforest Track, observing strangler figs, giant buttress roots, tree ferns, and vibrant rainforest birdlife.
Heritage Waterfalls, Trapdoor Spider Site & Lily Ponds
Pause at the impressive Heritage Waterfalls in a secluded forest setting. On the return walk along palm-lined creeks, learn about the rare trapdoor spider habitat and visit lily ponds home to native frog species.
