Hello, I'm Sasha D.

I'm Sasha​,​ a Sydney local with more than twenty years immersed in the city's arts​,​ culture​,​ design and community life. My career has taken me through some of Sydney's best-known cultural and creative institutions​,​ including The Sydney Morning Herald​,​ Vogue Living​,​ Vogue Entertaining and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. I also studied interior design and was named SMH Young Designer of the Year. These experiences shaped the way I see a city through its art​,​ history​,​ architecture​,​ food​,​ design and stories. After travelling through more than 20 countries​,​ I came to appreciate that unforgettable experiences aren't about ticking off sights. They're about having someone open up a place and reveal what you might otherwise walk straight past. That's the idea behind Art & Soul Experiences. I create small-group and bespoke cultural experiences that uncover a different side of Sydney. And they're not just for visitors. I love hearing lifelong Sydneysiders say they've discovered places​,​ stories and corners of their own city they never knew existed. I'm a qualified tour guide​,​ GSTC-certified in sustainable tourism​,​ a member of the Institute of Australian Tour Guides​,​ fully insured and First Aid certified. My hope is that you finish a tour seeing Sydney a little differently​,​ with a few new stories to tell and a few places you'll want to return to.
